Attractions
Comrie
is situated on the edge of the Scottish Highlands at the meeting of
Glens Lednock and Artney. Glen Artney was a favourite Royal hunting
forest
of Scottish kings and was also the setting for Sir Walter Scot's Lady
of the Lake.
There
is an abundance of Wildlife in the area and there are numerous
opportunities to observe Red Deer, Red Squirrels, Mountain Hare and, as
well as the usual birds of prey, sightings of Red Kites and Ospreys are
not unusual.
Auchingarrich
Wildlife Centre is situated only 1 mile
from Comrie. Crieff, 7 miles east of Comrie has the famous Grouse
Experience and Visitor Centre and nearby the beautiful Drummond Castle
Gardens are certainly worth a visit.
Earthquake
House, situated 50m from Drumearn Cottage, was erected
in 1869 to record earthquakes and is equipped with seismographic
instruments and is still in use today.
St.Fillans,
5 miles west has sailing, waterskiing and windsurfing at Loch
Earn.

This
part of Perthshire is a Golfers paradise with Gleneagles and its world
class courses within a 30 mile drive and many other quality courses
such as Crieff only 10 minutes away . Comrie has its own scenic 9 hole
course

There
are countless local waymarked paths for the walker to suit all levels
of fitness and for those looking for a more serious challenge we have
the Munros Ben Chonzie, Ben Vorich and Stuc a Chroin on our doorstep.
